Pot Furnace
Blue M Pot furnaces are available in several sizes to meet specific
requirements. Ruggedly constructed with an outer shell of heavy
steel plate and a metal top plate, they will provide long service-free
life. Insulation consists of quality, high and low temperature slab
material insuring low radiation losses. Chamber temperatures up
to 1650°F maximum yield pot temperature to 1450°F when furnaces
are equipped with insulated covers.
Features / Benefits
- Furnace Body
- Outer shell made of heavy steel plate, reinforced and welded
- Top plate made of steel plate with upturned flange around
the center opening to support the pot casting on the sealing
gasket
- Furnace Cover
- Steel fabrication, well-insulated to prevent heat loss
- Divided in center so that either or both halves may be readily
opened to expose the furnace pot
- Insulation
- Consists of several courses of high and low temperature slab
materials
- Laminated construction insures minimum heat loss
- Low power required to saturate the furnace, keeping radiation
loss low.
- Heating Elements
- Standard round rod nickel chromium type mounted in radiant
type refractories
- Radiates heat directly to the furnace pot
- Uniform distribution
- Terminals
- Heavy cross section
- Located on outside of furnace, enclosed in a metal guard
- Pot
- Made of heavy cast nickel chromium alloy or steel
- Withstand high heat, minimum scaling
- Extends entire depth of heating elements for best heat absorption
- Gasket under pot flange aids in preventing salt leakage to
heating chamber
- Nickel-Chrome heating elements integrally mounted in radiant
refractories for even heat
- Temperature and excess temperature instrumentation
- Complete, pre-wired free-standing control panel with disconnect
switch
Options
- Recorder
- Work thermocouple
